Background and experience

​Grace Soo, DClinPsy (not a medical doctor), is a Senior Clinical Psychologist at the Institute of Mental Health, Singapore. She works with children and adolescents in Child Guidance Clinic and adults in the Psychotherapy Centre, during which she has worked with many people from different cultures presenting with various conditions. Before this, Dr Grace previously worked in REACH, Singapore's community health team for children and adolescents, during which she was awarded the Sayang Award for excellence and empathic service.

Aside from practicing as a clinician, Dr Grace has presented at various conferences internationally.

Dr Grace completed her undergraduate training at Queen's University in Canada.  She was awarded the Singapore Ministry of Health's Healthcare Manpower Development Plan scholarship to further her studies in Australia. Dr Grace completed the Doctor of Clinical Psychology at Macquarie University, Sydney. She is also honoured to have been a Donald J Cohen Fellow in the International Association for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions (IACAPAP) 2018 Congress.

She is a registered practitioner with both the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Singapore Register of Psychologists (SRP). Dr Grace is also a registered clinical supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia and the Singapore Psychological Society.
